“E se tu scruterai a lungo in un abisso, anche l’abisso scruterà dentro di te.”
Queste parole di Friedrich Nietzsche sembrano risuonare, minacciose e sfidanti, nel mentre si fronteggia Urlo Quantico di Rosalba Mura. Dobbiamo avere il coraggio di ascoltare il grido viscerale che sembra generato dai meandri più oscuri e profondi della tela, anzi dalla sovrapposizione di più tele. Allora, come le tele, il grido diventa quello di tante voci sovrapposte, forse di un’umanità che ha preso consapevolezza di una verità inquietante. Sono le urla di chi ha guardato oltre l’abisso scoprendo che l’universo è multidimensionale. Il tempo non è lineare, ma frazionato in attimi sparsi, come schegge di vetro infranto. Mura opera nell’assenza del colore concentrandosi sulla dualità nella contrapposizione del bianco e del nero, nella ripetitività delle superfici contrapposte, bucando la materia alla ricerca di nuove visioni, altri mondi, di nuovi confini intimi, personali e spirituali. Abissi tesi alla de/costruzione e rappresentazione di un’alterità fluida e fuggevole.

These words of Friedrich Nietzsche seem to resound, threatening and challenging, as we confront Rosalba Mura’s Quantum Scream. We must have the courage to listen to the visceral cry that seems to be generated by the darkest and deepest meanderings of the canvas, by the overlapping of several canvases, indeed. Then, like the canvases, the cry becomes that of many voices over each other, perhaps of a humanity that has become aware of a disturbing truth.These are the cries of those who have looked beyond the abyss and discovered that the universe is multidimensional. Time is not linear, but fragmented into scattered moments, like shards of broken glass. Mura works in the absence of colour, concentrating on duality in the juxtaposition of black and white, in the repetitiveness of opposing surfaces, piercing the material in search of new visions, other worlds, new intimate, personal and spiritual boundaries. These are abysses aimed at the de/construction and representation of a fluid and fleeting otherness.
